ShipContent uses information to provide its website and marketing workspace. This policy explains what we handle when you create an account, work on content, or connect a social media account for a campaign.
Information we handle
- Account details, such as your name, email address, and sign-in information.
- Business details, project information, prompts, uploaded media, drafts, and feedback you provide.
- When you connect a social media account, the account identifier, username, account type, permissions you grant, and access credentials needed for the connection. We also keep approval, scheduling, and publication records.
- Basic technical information needed to operate and protect the service, such as device, browser, and request information.
How we use information
We use this information to run accounts and projects, help create and review content, carry out actions you approve, keep records of those actions, protect the service, and respond to support and privacy requests. Connecting an account does not itself approve a post. You separately approve the content, destination, and timing before ShipContent publishes.
When information is shared
We use service providers to operate the website and workspace, store information, and help generate requested content. When you connect a social media account or approve publication, information needed for that action is exchanged with the platform. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the service and its users.
Retention and deletion
We keep information while it is needed to provide the service and for legitimate security, recordkeeping, or legal needs. You can disconnect a social media account in ShipContent to stop future use of that connection. Disconnecting removes its saved access credentials but does not remove posts already published on the platform or revoke the authorization in your platform settings. You can also request deletion of information held by ShipContent. Some records may be retained where required or permitted by law.
Analytics
The website at shipcontent.com uses PostHog (EU) to count visits and the links visitors click, so we can tell whether the site is working. If you accept and later sign in to the app, earlier visits from this browser can be linked to your account. We never store your email or name in analytics. A cookie that remembers you between visits is set only after you accept analytics in the banner at the bottom of the page. If you decline, or have not yet chosen, your visit is still counted, but only your choice is stored, with no cookie. Open the banner again at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
Your choices and security
You may ask to access, correct, or delete your account information. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no system is perfectly secure. ShipContent is intended for adults.
